Μετά την προβολή της ταινίας “Αποδοχή Κληρονομιάς” του Χρήστου Γόδα στην ΕΤ3 το Μεγάλο Σάββατο  [ενεργός σύνδεσμος εδώ], ακολουθεί η προβολή της και στις αίθουσες.

Αρχή θα γένει στη Νέα Υόρκη. 27, 28, 29 Απρίλη και 5, 6 Μάη στο Σταθάκειο στην Αστόρια με την αιγίδα του Γενικού Προξενείου της Ελλάδας στη Νέα Υόρκη, της Αρχιεπισκοπής Αμερικής, της Ομοσπονδίας Ελληνικών Συλλόγων Νέας Υόρκης και του Ελληνοαμερικανικού Εμπορικού Επιμελητηρίου.

Στην Ελλάδα:

Πρεμιέρα στην Αθήνα την Τρίτη 29 Μαΐου στον κινηματογράφο Mikrokosmos, στη Λεωφόρο Συγγρού 106 (απέναντι από το Εθνικό Μουσείο Σύγχρονης Τέχνης). Για μέρες και ώρες προβολών στο Αθηνόραμα και λοιπά έντυπα ΚΑΙ στο site του Μικρόκοσμου.

Υπενθυμίζουμε ότι ο Χρήστος Γόδας είναι Θεολόγος, Σκηνοθέτης και Ξεναγός στην Νέα Υόρκη.

Η ταινία του “Αποκάλυψη Κληρονομιάς” που αφορά στην Ιερή Πάτμο είναι η αρχή μιας σειρά ταινιών προσκυνηματικού, θρησκευτικού και  τουριστικού ενδιαφέροντος που στοχεύουν στην πολυδιάστατη προβολή μοναστηριών της Ελλάδας που δέχονται επισκέψεις απ’όλο τον κόσμο.

We would like to inform you about the screenings of the film “Apocalypse Again: Acceptance of Inheritance” on April 27, 28, 29 and May 5, 6 2018 at “Stathakion” the hall of the Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New York. 
It is a great opportunity for your parishioners, friends and neighbors to experience the greatness of Greek culture and the Greek Orthodox spirit through the respective documentary that describes how the history of the island of Patmos and of the monastery of St. John the Theologian, from the 1st century AD to the Roman era, Byzantium, Ottoman Empire and finally to modern Greece, reveals some of the most basic foundations of Hellenism and unavoidably in many cases of the whole Western civilization.
The documentary insists on the fact that during the Ottoman rule the Patmos monastery saved much of the ancient Greek literature that at that time was typified in the West. Texts of Aristotle, Plutarch, of the three tragic poets and other great ancient classics are today found in the monastery’s library and museum. In the documentary, two international figures of Greek culture share their knowledge: Eleni Glykatzi – Arveler, historian, Byzantinologist, former rector of Sorbonne and the University of Europe, and Nikos Alexiou, professor of sociology at Queen’s College, New York.
It is a great chance to motivate your parishioners and friends to a journey in time that shows the greatness of Greek civilization and suggests ways to respect and preserve our inheritance.
The film is under the auspices of the North American Archdiocese, the General Consulate of Greece in New York, the Federation of Greek Associations of New York, and the Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce.
