Προ ημερών το Ιράν – ένα άλλο “Monopoly” καθεστώς- έκδωσε ένα ένταλμα συλλήψεως για τον Τραμπ και μαζί του για άλλα 35 άτομα τους οποίους όλους κατηγορούν για τον σχεδιασμό και την εκτέλεση της δολοφονίας του στρατηγού τους Σολειμάνι.

Με την έκδοση του εντάλματος ζήτησαν αμέσως από την Interpol και την διεθνή κοινότητα βοήθεια ώστε να μπορέσουν να συλλάβουν και να δικάσουν τους ενόχους.

Περιττό να αναφέρω ότι η Interpol αρνήθηκε αναφέροντας ότι δεν είναι στην δικαιοδοσία της η σύλληψης ενεργών πολιτικών.
Όσο για την διεθνή κοινότητα κι αυτή δεν φαίνεται ιδιαίτερα συνεργάσιμη στην απαίτηση τους.

Αλλά… η υπόθεση ίσως αλλάξει μετά τις 20 Ιανουαρίου 2021, -ημέρα ορκωμοσίας του νέου προέδρου – όπου ο Τραμπ εφόσον χάσει δεν θα έχει την προστασία προέδρου.

Την ημέρα αυτή όμως δεν είναι μόνο το Ιράν που την περιμένει- αν και γι’ αυτούς δεν θα γίνει απολύτως τίποτα- αλλά για πολλούς άλλους που έχουν λόγο να τον σύρουν στα δικαστήρια και να τον δουν -γιατί όχι – στην φυλακή.

Last week Iran – another “Monopoly” regime,- issued an arrest warrant for Trump and 35 others for planning and carrying out the assassination of their most senior and decorated general Suleimani.

With the issuing of the warrant, immediately they sought the cooperation of Interpol and the international community in bringing them in to stand trial.

Needless to say Interpol refused stating that they have no jurisdiction in arresting actively serving politicians and the international community does not seem eager to cooperate with their demands. So, good luck and keep dreaming!

But…the situation may change come January 20, 2021.

That’s Presidential Inauguration Day and if Trump -as expected- looses, then things may start to happen in the litigation front. Not for Iran’s case -almost certain nothing is going to happen- but for a lot of others that have been waiting for Trump to return as a regular citizen and face the judge in a number of investigated cases that could possibly land him in jail.
