Το περιώνυμο και αμφιλεγόμενο CHARLIE HEBDO έδειξε πάλι την πιο άσχημη πλευρά του προσώπου του. Στόχος του την φορά αυτήν ο δυστυχισμένοι κάτοικοι της Ιταλίας που κλαίνε νεκρούς, τραυματίες και περιουσία, θύματα του πρόσφατου σεισμού. Το σχετικό σκίτσο του ειναι γνωστό -έχει κάνει ήδη τον γύρο του κόσμου. Φαίνεται πως στο εν λόγω περιοδικό ανακάλυψαν οτι όσο πιο προκλητικοί είναι τόσο περισσότερα φύλλα πουλάνε.

Όχι, κύριοι “συνάδελφοι”! Ούτε σκίτσο, ούτε δημοσιογραφία είναι αυτό. Αίσχος είναι!

Παραθέτω παρακάτω αποσπάσματα απο τον Κώδικα Δεοντολογίας της ΕΣΗΕΑ . Τα ασπάζομαι πλήρως.

ΑΡΘΡΟ 2

Η δημοσιογραφία, ως επάγγελμα, αλλά και κοινωνικό λειτούργημα, συνεπάγεται δικαιώματα, καθήκοντα και υποχρεώσεις. Ο δημοσιογράφος δικαιούται και οφείλει:

ε. Να αντιμετωπίζει με διακριτικότητα και ευαισθησία τους πολίτες, όταν αυτοί
βρίσκονται σε κατάσταση πένθους, ψυχικού κλονισμού και οδύνης, καθώς και
αυτούς που έχουν εμφανές ψυχικό πρόβλημα, αποφεύγοντας να προβάλει την
ιδιαιτερότητά τους.

ΑΡΘΡΟ 7

ο δημοσιογράφος οφείλει:

β. Να αποφεύγει τη χυδαιογραφία, τη χυδαιολογία και τη γλωσσική βαρβαρότητα, τηρώντας, ακόμη και στη σάτιρα και τη γελοιογραφία, τους κανόνες της επαγγελματικής ηθικής και της κοινωνικής ευθύνης.

The notorious and controversial CHARLIE HEBDO has shown again the ugliest side of its face.

Its target this time none other than the unfortunate victims of the recent earthquakes in Italy, with hundreds of dead and injured, and loss of property that has not been yet calculated. The cartoon on the magazine’s cover has already been several times around the world. It seems that the people at the magazine have decided that the more provocative they are the more their sales rise.

No, dear “colleagues”, this is not cartooning, it is not journalism. It is an outrage and a disgrace!

Following are a couple of articles from the Code of Conduct, of the Greek Journalists Union, of which I am a member. I whole heartedly subscribe to them.

ARTICLE 2

As a profession, as well as a social service, journalism entails rights, duties and obligations. The journalist has the right and the obligation:

To treat the citizens with discretion and sensitivity when they are in a state of mourning, psychological distress and pain, as well as those with an obvious psychological problem…

ARTICLE 7

The journalist is obliged:

II. To avoid obscenity and vulgarism. To observe, even in satire and cartoon, the rules of professional ethics and social responsibility
