Χωρίς σκίτσο σήμερα – ανεβοκατέβηκα απο το χωριό στην πόλη για να ψηφίσω, είδα και κάποιους φίλους που είχα καιρό να δω, πράγμα που σημαίνει και το ανάλογο κρασί. Το “ανάλογο” το ερμηνεύετε, όπως εσείς θέλετε.

Κούραση, λοιπόν, και όχι αρκετός χρόνος για σκίτσο. Αυτό όμως δεν μ’ εμποδίζει να αναφερθώ σ΄ένα φαινόμενο που η ανάλυση και η κατανόησή του πρέπει να μας απασχολήσει σοβαρά. Για την ώρα, θα αρκεστώ σαν σχόλιο, στον παρακάτω μύθο του Aισώπου:

ΚΟΧΛΙΑΙ

γεωργού παίς κοχλίας ώπτει. ακούσας δε αυτών τριζόντων έφη: “ώ κάκιστα ζώα, των οικιών υμών εμπιπραμένων αυτοί άδετε;”
ο λόγος δηλοί, ότι πάν το παρά καιρόν δρώμενον επονείδιστον.

Ναι, ενώ το σπίτι τους καίγεται άλλοι προτίμησαν να κοιμηθούν, να πάνε ψάρεμα ή κυνήγι ή να πιούν μια φραπεδιά σε κάποια καφετέρια.

Αυτά.

Sunday has been elections day and to vote we had to come and go from the village to the town, where we stayed overnight. It gave us the opportunity to meet with some old friends, which means the consumption of the appropriate amount of wine.

Too tired and too little time left for me to make a cartoon for this post. Still, I cannot but mention the the unusually high percentage of abstention from the voting process, the significance and meaning of which has to be considered and analysed seriously. For the time being my comment will be one of Aesop’s fables:

SNAILS

the son of a farmer was cooking snails. as he heard them sizzling and crackling he said: “oh, you miserable creatures, your houses are burning and you are singing?”

this means that everything done at the wrong time is shameful.

Well, though their house is on fire, some preferred to go fishing or to some caffe instead of voting. More tomorrow.
